let the dimensions of the parallelogram be x and y That is let line PS be x and line PQ be y

line PS= line QR also line PQ = line SR

drawing a perpendicular down from P and Q to SR

the hypotenuse of both right angled triangles = x

let the points of intersection be X and Y

line RX = w

line SX = y-w

line PX = h

line QY = h

∴line PX = line QY
