PQRS is a parallelogram ( see tge below ). QM is the height from Q to SR and QN is the height from Q to PS. If SR = 12cm and QM = 7.6cm. Find (a) the area of the parallelogram PQRS (b) QN, if PS = 8cm

Hey...

(a) Given, Base = 12 cm, Height = 7.6 cm

Area of the parallelogram PQRS = Base x Height
= 12 cm x 7.6 cm = 91.2 sq cm

(b) Given; Base PS = 8cm, Area of the parallelogram(as calculated in the above question) = 91.2 cm2, Height QN= ?

Area = Base x Height
⇒ 91.2 cm2 = 8cm x QN
Or, QN = 91.2 ÷ 8 = 11.4 cm
