Given : PQRS is a parallelogram whose diagonals intersect at O.

To Find : Values of x & y

Solution:

Vertical opposite of 75°  = 75°

75° + 40°  + x = 180°

=> 115° + x = 180°

=> x = 65°

if y = ∠PRQ

∠SPR = ∠PRQ   ( alternate angles)

=> ∠SPR = y

=> 35° = y

if y is ∠R

opposite angles of parallelogram are equal

y = 35° + 40°

=> y = 75°
