PQRS is a parallelogram with PQ =26cm and QR =20cm. if the distance between its longer sides is 12.5cm, find (i) the area of the parallelogram (ii) the distance between its shorter sides.

Given that,

In PQRS parallelogram,

PQ=26cm

QR=20cm

distance between longer sides =12.5cm

(i) Area of parallelogram=base × height cm²

=PQ×h

=26×12.5

=325 cm²

(ii) Area of parallelogram=base× height

height=Area/base

distance b/wshorterside=325/20

=65/4

=16.25cm
