PQRS is a parallelogram. Xand Y are mid -points of sides PQ and RS respectively. If W and Z are points on intersection of SX &PY and XR & YQ respectively, then show that ar(∆YWZ)=ar(∆XWZ)

Draw XY // SP // RQ

Now,

SW = WX. .... ( Diagonals of //gm bisect each other)

Similarly, YZ = ZQ

Now ,
W & Z are the midpoints of sides SX and XR.

By using mid point theorem ,
tri. YWZ = tri. XWZ.
