\bold{\underline{Solution:}}

As it is given that PQRS is a square. So according to the properties of square, the measure of each side are equal in a SQUARE.

\bold{\boxed{A.T.Q}}

 \frac{2}{3} x + 1 = 9 \\  \\  \frac{2x }{3}  = 9  - 1\\  \\  \frac{2x}{3}  = 8 \\  \\ 2x = 8 \times 3 \\ 2x = 24 \\  \\ x =  \frac{24}{2}  = 12

Hence, the value of x = 12.

\bold{\underline{Verification}}

 \frac{2}{3} x + 1 = 9 \\  \\  \frac{2}{3}  \times 12  + 1 = 9 \\  \\ 4 \times 2 + 1 = 9 \\  \\ 8 + 1 = 9 \\  \\ 9 = 9

Hence, the value of x is 12.
