SOL:IN THE FIGURE,ΔSTR AND ΔSRT ARE ON THE SAME BASE RS AND BETWEEN THE SAME PARALLEL LINES (RS║UT)
THEREFORE ar(ΔSTR)=ar(ΔSRU) .....(1).
now,ar(PSUQ)=ar(PSRQ)+ar(ΔSRU)
=ar(PSRQ)+ar(ΔRTS).......from (1)
=ar(PQRTS).
HENCE PROVED
