Answer :

➥ Money left with him = Rs. 1125

Given :

➤ Principal (P) = Rs. 5000

➤ Time (T) = 3 years

➤ Rate (R) = 5½

To Find :

➤ Money left with him = ?

Solution :

As we know that

\tt{:\implies S.I =  \dfrac{P \times R \times T}{100} }

\tt{:\implies S.I =  \dfrac{50 \cancel{00} \times 5 \frac{1}{2}  \times 3}{1 \cancel{00}} }

\tt{:\implies S.I =   \cancel{50} \times  \dfrac{11}{ \cancel{ \: 2 \: }} \times 3 }

\tt{:\implies S.I = 25 \times 11 \times 3}

\tt{:\implies S.I =  275 \times 3}

\bf{:\implies  \underline{ \:  \:  \underline{ \green{ \:  \: S.I =  825 \:  \: }} \:  \: }}

As we know that

\tt{:\implies Amount = P+I}

\tt{:\implies Amount = 500 + 825}

\bf{:\implies \underline{ \:  \:  \underline{ \green{ \:  \:  Amount = Rs. \: 5825 \:  \: }} \:  \: }}

Now ,

He spent to by almirah at 4700 :

 \tt{: \implies 5825 - 4700}

 \bf{: \implies  \underline{ \:  \:  \underline{ \purple{ \:  \: Rs. \: 1125 \:  \: }} \:  \: }}

Hence, the money left with him is Rs. 1125.
