Prerequisite knowledge :
(1) Index form and coefficient form of a polynomial.
(2) Synthetic division.
(3) Factor theorem.
Materials / Resources : Pen, paper, chalk and board.
Procedure:
(1) Teacher should write the statement of factor theorem on the board.
Factor theorem: (x + a) is a factor of a polynomial p(x), if p(-a) = 0
(2) Teacher will give an example of division.
