(a) Two types of plants were chosen for an experiment. Sample 'A' was the leat of a coleus plant. Sample 'B' was a pitcher plant. Both the samples were treated with boiling water followed by alcohol. Two to three drops of iodine were added to each treated sample respectively. What would the observation and result Be? give reason for your answer

Coleus plant's leaf will turn blue-black.

Because, after the iodine test, the experiment will show the presence of starch in the Coleus Plant, and there will be no result in the Pitcher Plant as it is an insectivorous plant.
