Practice makes everyone perfect.
It is just a figure of speech to use the word 'man' in such phrase.
Practicing is not biased on the basis of gender.
It is applicable for anyone who is willing to practice to automatically be able to perfect themselves in that particular task.
Thus, it is not only applicable to man but to women as well.
