Praveen and Ritesh have pocket money in the ratio 5:3 .If Parveen gave ₹20 to Ritesh, both of them will have equal amount of money . How much did each of them have in the beginning.

Let the amount with Praveen be 5x and with Ritesh be 3x.
A.T.Q,
5x=3x+20
5x-3x=20
2x=20
x=20÷2
x=10
Hence, in the beginning Praveen had ₹5x=5×10=₹50 an Ritesh had₹3x=3×10=₹30.
