Praveen and Ritesh have pocket money in the ratio 5: 3.if Praveen gives rupees 20 Ritesh both of them will have equal amount of money. how much did each of them have in the beginning?

Let praveen money = 5x

Ritesh money = 3x

5x-20 = 3x+20

2x = 40

x = 10

Praveen money = 5x = ₹ 50

Ritesh money = 3x = ₹ 30

According to the question,


5X - 20 = 3X + 20




5X - 3X = 20 + 20


2X = 40


X = 20 .
