Praveen bent a piece of wire 88 cm long into the shape of a circle. Find the radius and area of the circle so formed if the same piece of wire is bent into hte shape of a square then which shapes will have more area the circle or square

in circle

circumference = length of wire

2πr= 88cm

πr= 44cm

(22/7)*r= 44cm

r= 44*7/22cm

= 14cm

area= πr^2

= (22/7)*14*14 cm^2

= 616 cm^2

in square

Perimeter= length of wire

4 * side = 88cm

side= 22cm

area= side^2

= (22 cm)^2

= 484cm^2

since, 616cm^2 > 484cm^2

so, circle has more area than square.
