Praveen bent a piece of wire 88 cm long into the shape of a circle. Find the radius and area of the circle so
formed. If the same piece of wire is bent into the shape of a square, then which of the shapes will have more
area - the circle or the square?​

Given that :)

Circumference of the circle is 88cm ..

Now,

Circumference of circle =2πr

88 cm = 2×22/7×radius

88cm×7/2×22=radius

14cm=radius ..

Now area of circle=πr square

Area of circle = 22/7 ×14×14

Area of circle=616cm square

Now ,

If the same piece of wire is bent in the form of square ,so

Perimeter of circle = Perimeter of square

Perimeter of circle = Perimeter of square=88cm

4×side =88cm

Side =88cm/4

side =22cm

Area of square =(side)×(Side)

Area of square =22cm×22cm

Area of circle =484 cm square

Area of square -Area of circle

(616-484)cm square=132

Area of square have more area than area of circle by 132 cm
