* Leave your home or school building and move to an open area.
* Do not stand near windows, bookcases, mirrors, hanging pots and fans during or immediately after an earthquake.
* If trapped in a building, remain close to an interior wall and protect your head with your arms. Do not use a lift.
* If outdoors, keep away from trees, signboards, buildings, poles and electric wires.
