✔Never put it on your face. It hardens very badly, and once it does, you will find it very difficult to get rid of it.
✔While casting on limbs, you can use thin plastic bag to cover limbs, and then put plaster, otherwise, it can cause sensation on raw limbs and you may panic.
✔Use gloves when you handle plaster of Paris.
✔Never ever dip limbs on a bucket of wet plaster of Paris.
✔Cold water should be made available to wash off the plaster.
✔Protect the eyes by wearing goggles.
