I have always felt that the preparation of an event is so much more engaging and fun than the actual event. There is so much of excitement in the air with everyone eagerly looking forward to it. This happened when my sister was getting married last year. The preparations started months ago. We had so much to do! Run around looking for the best caterers, sending in invitations and calling up people, buying the jewellery and clothes for the engagement, wedding eve, wedding, reception, party.... It was simply great! It was so much fun to do everything. We were so busy arranging, we thought the wedding day came too soon. Ironically, none of us really had that much fun for the wedding. It was just a formal function, with everything in place and a traditional ceremony. And when it was all over, we were all kind of sad to be honest. There was nothing to keep our days busy anymore!
