This anhydrous sodium carbonate is known assoda ash.

The preparation of Sodium Carbonate is also known as Solvay process.

But before that calcium carbonate (limestone) was heated to release carbon dioxide.

- Washing Soda is used as cleansing agent for domestic purposes likewashing clothes.
