Distribution Network

• One of the most important phase of manufacturing industry is the distribution of the manufactured goods.

• The network of distribution should be well planned and maintained, so that the product successfully reaches the hands of the target consumers.

• This distribution of the product is made up of various parties, each playing their roles in sending the product to the market.

• The network starts with the factory, where the products are manufactured.

• The manufactured goods are then sent to the warehouse for record keeping and maintaining the inventory.

• From the warehouse, the goods are then sent to three possible parties: a) Stockist b) Super Stockists (for Rural Areas) and c) Co-operative Stores.

• The super stockists then send their products to the Rural Stockist and from there the goods are sent to the retailer or wholesaler

• The a) stockists, also sends their stock to the retail and wholesale shops.

• The end users or the consumers, the buy the product from the wholesale or the retail shops.

• The consumers can also get the product from the co-operative stores, thereby , by passing the wholesale/retail shops.
