Though they are the real citizens, they have many problems which are to solved.No one knows when their problems get solved. Their lifes are in darkness, which needs a light

The Below is the interview of worker of mine industry named " Hello ",by a reporter "Praneeth "

P :- Good Morning! I am a reporter from Brainly, Can you give your Introduction.

W :- Thanks Sir! I am "Hello ", A worker of Mine industry. Glad to meet you sir!

P :- Thanks! Happy May Day! This day is dedicated to you. Can you tell us about Industry, it's Work.

W :- My industry works for Digging mines.

P :- Can you be bit more clear! Tell which mineral is mainly digged

W :- Especially we dig Barytes. The process is so big and tough.The situation is so hard to imagine.
P:- Can you tell me where you work

W:- I work in the Under ground section.

P :- Be more clear!Can you tell us about what you work, And Your salary.

W:-The work I do is to carry the minerals digged from underground to the the Factory. I am paid a Rupees 15,000 which is merely enough for me to get on with my family. The task here is so critical. We may die at any time, if the tunnels broke.

P :- Oh!Tell me more about your problems faced in underground.

W:- As we work in underground, we face a large suffocation. The mines we dig are so hot, The temperature is so high at that level. Our hands and feet burn all the time. We are very tired and weary. In addition to all of these, the main problem we face is The Minerals we transfer release harmful gases, which leads to Lung cancer and heart diseases. One more thing is that, Our ears are affected by the sounds, that our eardrums looks like blasting.

P :- Looks like a sad sight. What are the working hours for you??

W :- Our working hours are 6:00-20:00.Totally 14 hours, we don't get even time to sleep. We has to live a very sad life even though we work hard.

P :- So sad to hear. I think you might know what can be done to improve your selves.

W :- Yes, sir

P:- We'll come to it later. Are you a contract based worker or Regularised worker?

W :- I am a contract based worker. If our contact period finishes,we have to wait for its renewal or search for other jobs

P :- You mean there is no job security

W :- Yes sir!

P :- You mentioned earlier about you may die when tunnels break,can you explain about that

W :- Our factory digs mines, as our mines are open pit mines, when we blast a place, rest of the tunnel may be break. so Some worker die.

P :-Oh, sorry to ask, If a worker dies, doesyour factory provide beneficiary pays, like giving money to the worker 's family

W :- The factory doesn't provide any such things,But they take off 5% salary of the worker each month and deposits in the bank , when the worker dies, This is given to family. This is in the case of regular based workers sir

P :- What about Contract workers

W :- They don't have these facilities. But when they join they make a insurance, so when any risk occurs, the government will pay them

P :- As we spoke earlier, what can be done to improve the lives of workers

W :- The Government has to take up some new reforms,supporting the workers, Using machineries in mines will avoid diseases for workers. Their working hours should be lessened. Their salary, benefits should be Increased. The workers are to be provided with masks, other safety measures should be taken.

May day is celebrated every year on 1 May ,this day is also known as labours day and this day is dedicated to workers of every field. We celebrate this day to show our utmost gratitude towards the Labourers and give a special thanks to them for the work they do for us. However ,these Labourers /workers do face many problems in the society and that problems should be ended so as to make India a truly democratic country.

Vanshika : Good morning ,I am a reporter from xyz news channel ,can you please give me your introduction.

Labourer: Ya sure,I'm Ramu and I'm an urban casual labourer working in a construction site.

Vanshika : Ok ,Thank you ,Do you know that today is your day ? Today is Labous day!

Labourer : Yes I know that today is Labours day. It's a relaxing day for us.

Vanshika : So Ramu,how do you feel being an labourer. I mean can u tell me about your daily routine .

Labourer : Mam my day is very busy , I work day and night . I have 3 children and I am doing my best for them . But I have very little time to spend with them .

Vanshika : Can you please tell me clearly?

Labourer : Yes, I come to this construction site in the morning at nearly 7:00 am and I reach home at 10:00 pm and sometimes it goes till midnight .

Vanshika : Oh,so you might be getting a good amount of money by doing this work?

Labourer : Good amount of money! No mam we are getting very less wages and in the wages we are not able to fulfill our family needs ..

Vanshika : Yes ,this is a very seroiur problem with Indian labourers that they get very less wages .

Labourer : Yes Mam and by this our situation is getting worse day by day.

Vanshika : Can you tell me about your job security,Do you have any job security ?

Labourer : No mam ,we labourers don't have job security . When the work of a construction site is complete ,we have to search for any other manual unskilled job and it takes months to find a job.

Vanshika : Yes,you are right I think that the situation of labourers should be better .They should also be given respect,job security,proper wages etc. as they are also the citizens of this country only.

Labourer : And I think that Govt. sholud make certain policies for our betterment .

Vanshika : Thank you Ramu,for giving me your precious time and for giving your interview . I hope that after seeing this interview many people would know about your situation and govt. would make certain policies for you.
So that you can live a better life .

Labourer : Thank you mam , I also hope that what you said may come true .
