Goa is world famous for its beaches, heritage architecture and worship places. Large numbers of domestic and international tourists visit Goa every year. Goa is also abound in rich fauna and flaura as a result of its location upon India's Western Ghats. This region has been designated as a hotspot of biodiversity. Apart from its gorgeous beaches, some interesting sights to see in Goa are the Basilica of Bom Jesus, the State Museum , Fort Aguada and the National Aviation Museum.

Basilica of Bom Jesus :This Basilica carries St Francis Xaviers mortal remains. It is located in the old part of Goa and belongs to the baroque style of architecture. It was built over 400 years ago. Exhibitions of St Francis' body, is held at the end of each decade. The church is also full of art work known as murals.


Goa State Museum : The Goa State Museum is at Panjim, Goa's capital. The museum contains approximately 8000 artifacts like carvings, bronzes, manuscripts, paintings, anthropological objects and rare coins. It also has a number of Jain and Hindu scriptures and artifacts.

Fort St Aguada : This fort was built in 1612 to prevent attacks by the Marathas and Dutch. It is on the Candolim beach.

National Aviation Museum : This museum is situated in Bogmalo. It portrays the country's Naval Aviation evolution.
