Listening to Problems of Others is a Social Service
Good morning everyone present; I am going to speak on ‘Listening to Problems of Others is a Social Service’. The current, contemporary times are full of stress, tensions, worries, etc. Everyone is stressed. No one has the time to share anyone’s sorrows.
The unsaid griefs and sorrows just keep snowballing. These sorrows if shared are automatically assuaged. So listening to others’ problems de-burdens the heart. Even in psychotherapy this stress is removed by making the patient talk his burden out to the therapist.
So, when you have someone who is willing to talk to or share his/her problems with you, you must give him or her a patient hearing. Who knows your patient listening might lift stress from someone’s heart.
Life is full of experience.Everyone has a story to tell. Some experiences are good they give us good memories. In future we may forget these good memories. While some experiances are bad and they become bad memories and haunt us for a great period of time.
Human beings are social animals. They like to have friends with whom they can share their memories and share a part of their life. Some friends are good listeners and some are good speakers.
Human psycology says that we share our memories or we listen to someone's life story then it acts as a relief. We get relieved from our pain. This way we destress ourselves. When we listen to someone's story and offer help them we are helping that person psycologically because this person will also be relieved from all the emotional burden that he had by sharing. Therefore listening to other's
problems is called a psycological therepy.
