In Deccan the Bahamani Sultans constructed a great number of mosques, mausoleums and forts. One remarkable example is the Jami Masjid at Gulbarga made in in 1367 A.D. is a true representation of the Deccan style.
It has corridors provided on three sides of the building . It is unique in the sense is that it has no open courtyard, the whole structure being covered.
In place of of minars, it has four domes in the four corners. The central dome above the prayer hall is the 1argest. Some photos are presented below:
