P. age of Nishant = 10 x
ATQ
7x+8/10x+8=11/4
4(7x+8) = 11(10x+8)
28x+32=110x+88
32-88 = 110x-28x
-56=82x

Atul's age:- 7x

Nishant's age:- 10x

Equation formed:-

(by finding the value of x and substituting it to the equation we can find their ages)

Atul's age after 8 years:- 7x + 8 = 11x

Nishant's age after 8 years:- 10x + 8 = 14x

                                            => 8 = 14x - 10x          [∴ Transposing  10x to RHS]

                                            => 8 = 4x

                                            => 8 ÷ 4 = x  [ ∴ Transposing the co-efficient of x, 4 to the LHS to divide 8]     => 2 = x

Atul's present age = 7 × x

                               => 7 × 2 = 14 years               [∴Substituting the value of x]

Nishant's present age = 10 × x

                                     => 10 × 2 = 20 years [∴ Substituting the value of x]
