\huge\sf\pink {Given:}

Age of mother = 4 ( age of child 1 + age of child 2 )

\huge\sf\pink {Assume :}

Let present age of mother be ' M ' years.

1st child be ( a ) years

2nd Child be ( b ) years

\huge\sf\blue {To \:Find :}

• Present age of mother

\huge\sf\pink {Solution :}

According to Question,

Present age of mother ( M ) = 4 ( a + b ) ------ ( i )

Now,

After 5 years,

M + 5 = 2 ( a + b + 10 ) -----( add 5 in both the sides )

( Multiply by 2 in both the sides )

➡ 2 ( M + 5 ) = 2×2 ( a + b + 10 )

➡ 2M + 10 = 4 ( a + b + 10 )

➡ 2M + 10 = 4 ( a + b ) + 40

➡ 2M = M + 160 - 10 ---- ( By using ( i ) )

➡ 2M - M = 150

➡ M = 150 years

Answer: Present age of mother is 150 years.
