present age of Subramaniam's mother is six times subramaniam 's age. five years hence, her age will be 20 years more than that of subramaniam's age.

let Subbu's age is X then
his mother's age is 6X ..
after 5 years Subbu's age will be X + 5
his mother's age will be 6X + 5 = 20 + X + 5
5X = 20
X = 4 , then Subbu's mother age will be 24

SOLUTION....

Let, Subramanium's present age be x years.
and then, her mother's present age be 6x years.

Now, five years hence-
Subramanium's age be (x+5)years
and
her mother's age be (6x+5).

Now,
According to question,
6x +5 = x + 5 + 20
6x - x = 25 - 5
5x = 20
x = 4.

Hence, Subramanium's present age is 4years.
and her mother's present age is 24years.
