Father's age is 3 times the age of the son. After 30 years, father will be 18 years old to the son. Find the present age of the father?

let sons age be X
then fathers age will be 3x
after 30 years fathers age will be x+18
3 (x+18)=30
X + 18= 10
x= 8
3x= 3x8=24
therefore fathers present age is 24
then fathers age will be 3x
