Step-by-step explanation:

the present age of a = 2x

the present age of b = 3x

after 12 years

age of a = 2x+12

age of b = 3x +12

and equal to 3:4

3\4 =2x + 12 /3x + 12

3(3x + 12) = 4(2x + 12)

9x +36 = 8x +48

9x -8x = 48 - 36

x = 12

the present age of a = 2×12

= 24

the present age of b = 3× 12

= 36

hope it helped

\huge\underline\mathfrak\blue{Solution}

Let the present age of A = 2x years

present age of B = 3y years

____________________

After 12 years,

Age of A = 2x + 12....(1)

Age of B = 3y + 12....(2)

Also,

The ratio of their ages after 12 years is 3:4

So,

Age of A after 12 years = 3x....(3)

Age of B after 12 years = 4y.....(4)

____________________

Equating eq (1) and (3)

2x + 12 = 3x

2x - 3x = -12

-x = -12

x = 12 years

____________________

Now, we had supposed the present age of A is 2x years.

So,

Present age of A = 2 × 12 => 24 years

Hence, present age of A is 24 years.
