This is the time when we make decisions and  we don't know how right or wrong the decisions  are.We should cherish every moment that life lets us live, for it may turn over to take you to another page of your life, might be  a more interesting and adventurous page of life.Our life is full of unexpected turns 
so rather than getting sad at what happened or what you didn't expect ,you should look at life in a rather optimistic lens

because to do anything in future we need to get ready for that
