Yes.. It determines.. When you increase the temperature kinetic energy changes and as it changes it can be easily differentiated as three states of matter.... Are having different kinetic energy.... And pressure is also a kind of same thing.. When pressure is applied on liquid gets concerted into gas... Similarly when this happens with GAs it shows vice versa of this.... Any matter whether that is a solid, a liquid or a gas, when it experiences an increase in temperature then their state is changed.

  • By reducing the pressure and increasing the temperature a solid can be converted to liquid and then gas.
  • Through rising the pressure and decreasing the pressure a gas may be liquefied. Same is the way a liquid is converted into a solid.
  • At a corresponding pressure and temperature each state of matter of any material is stable.
