Concept
Boyle's law is a gas law that states that the pressure emitted by a gas which is equal to the volume at which it resides.
Given
The Volume of Cylinder given is 10L
The pressure given is 1atm
Find
We need to find the volume of cylinder
Solution
According to Boyle's law
The Product of the first volume and Pressure
is equal to the second volume and pressure
Therefore
P1V1=P2V2
1*10= 1.5(V2)
Therefore V2 = 10*2/3
V2= 20/3
Hence the volume will be 6.6L if the pressure increases by 50%
