These lines convey that one should brush one’s teeth in a right mannet One should brush them by moving the brush, having paste on it, up and down. One should take care of one’s teeth by spending some time in cleaning them. The poet regrets that she did not think it worthwhile to spend sometime in cleaning her teeth. This neglect of her teeth has landed her in the dentist’s clinic.

The poet had neglected the care of her teeth. She had been eating a lot of toffees and candies. Also, she did not brush her teeth in the right manner. So she developed many cavities beneath her teeth. Consequently, she had to go to the dentist for treatment.

. If we have good teeth, we can chew our food properly and enjoy it. If we eat healthy and nutritious food, we will become strong, healthy and active. We will develop strong immunity to diseases and will not fall ill easily. So the tooth is our good friend.

We can look after our teeth by not eating toffees, sweets, candies and blues. We should eat the right kind of food. Also we should brush our teeth properly and carefully. We should spend some time in cleaning them. We should brush our teeth by moving the brush up and down on our teeth.

Healthy teeth promise a robust life.

Yes the poem does prove that.

The poet does not take care of her teeth in first place and then she has to suffer in the second place.

So we can say that prevention is better than cure
