let equal moles be x and y

then concentration of hydrogen escaped in unit time is x by 2

and that of oxygen is x by 32

but x=y

by grahams law of effusion/diffusion

then hydrogen escaped is x M. and then oxygen escaped in half time will x by 16

substitute x by 1

then answer will be 1 by 16
