Price of battery is given in terms of Rs per Qty (quantity).

• In the consumer market the batteries are sold in terms of individual pieces.

• So,the price of a battery is given by the manufacturing company for one individual piece of battery.

• Voltage, weight and other aspects are also related to the one individual piece of battery but these are not key factor for denoting the amount of product we need. We will never ask the shopkeeper to give one kilogram of battery or one battery of 12 volts. All we say is 2 AA batteries or 3 AAA batteries. So,at the end we buy as per the quantity.

• For example,

Price of XYZ battery is Rs. 300/piece.

Here, the price of one individual piece of XYZ battery is Rs. 300.
