Mrs.packletide was a jealous and ambitious lady. This lines suits on her character as she belonged to an upper class society. In the story she was jealous of her rival and decided to outshine her by killing a tiger.She decided to pay Rs1000 to the villagers,they agreed and the tiger shooting was arranged in the neighbouring village.
A goat was tethered, they waited for some time and saw a tiger approaching there. She aimed and fired. Both the tiger and goat fellled down. Miss mebbing a paid companion remarked that the bullet has shot the goat and tiger have succumbed heart failure. She told that Loona bimberton would be happy if she has known this fact. She started blackmailing her and asked her to buy a cottage for her. Mrs.packletige have to face financial loss and decided to give up hunting.....................
