Use of ventilators in house rely on Bernoulli's principle and difference in pressure.
Explanation:
- Hot air rises because it is lower pressure. For this reason, it is sometimes called buoyancy ventilation. This is also called stack ventilation because it depends on difference in temperature for movement of air.
- More importantly , Bernoulli’s principle relies on speed of wind for movement of air in house and provide effective ventilation. According to fluid dynamics, when the faster air moves, the pressure of air is lowered. Air that is present outdoors is farther from the ground and is therefore less obstructed, so it moves faster than lower air which means it will have lower pressure. More air is sucked in from outside due to this lower pressure, into the house.
