There are four primary principles of communication:
The message sent is not necessarily the message received. It is impossible to not communicate.Every message has both content and feeling.Nonverbal cues are more believable than verbal cues.

sender - is a group or person or organisation which initiates the communication process. he/she is the source of communication.
message - is a physical form in which an idea is expressed.
encoding - process by which the message is translated into symbols which can be transmitted. eg - pictures, maps, etc.
channel- means the medium or mode which carriers the message to the receiver.
receiver- person, group or organisation to whom the message is directed.
decoding - process by which the receiver translates the message into meaning from the symbols encoded by sender.
feedback - once the message is understood, the receiver sends a response to sender to verify that he /she has understood the message properly.
