Earth is a planet made up of many chemical elements (and I do not mean dirt, water, gasses, spirit, whatever). We use the term ‘living’ to mean a lot of things, and usually in the context of the conversation.
Earth has active tectonics and volcanoes, so, it is Geologically ‘living’.
Earth, of course, is covered in life forms, spectacularly so, therefore it is a world of ‘living things’.
But, the planet itself is not alive. It is the product of the nature of the universe, with all its physical forces and materials. This means that on Earth there are winds and waves and changes; sounds and motions and all the things that we usually attribute to life itself. But, Earth is not alive.
