Private tuition is a kind of teaching which is usually: ... Most private tuition is provided by self-employed private tutors. Many of these tutors work independently, meaning that they enter into verbal or written contracts directly with parents, carers or adult students.
It is an unnecessary evil spoiling many kids. Here the issue is not with paid tuitions alone, but parents hand holding the kids' on their studies make damages.
Suppose you are carrying a child until he is 12 years old and then leaving him to walk alone he will take another 2 years or more to learn to walk. Same is the case with students that are 'over trained' by their parents from LKG to High School.
If parents help students full time with home work and syllabus they may score high in primary and upper primary schools. But thereafter you can see their grades come down and they will be struggling to get marks by the time they reach 10th (by the age of 15).
Helping the students should be limited to clearing their doubts and teaching new things. Do not mess with what they are learning otherwise. Leave it for him to understand and work on himself. Do not limit his scope with your training.
You should be educating your children to help them lead a good life, and not for a competitive examination!
