cost price is Rs 2730

vat = 5%

100 + 5 = 105%

Finding price before VAT

let price is x

105x/100 = 2730

21x/20 =2730

21x = 54600

X = 54600/21

X = 2600 .

Price before VAT is Rs 2600

Finding VAT Amount -

2600 x 5/100 = 130 .

Hence :

Price before VAT is Rs 2600

VAT Amount is Rs 130.
