When we are in school what motivates us to perform better. Its the prize distribution ceremony. When we see other children receive prizes for their sports, study, or other activity performance then we also try to improve and take up certain sports because we also want to see ourselves achieve great success in career. Therefore the prizes are like an ultimate motivation. Not just for children but even for adults

I think it is a good way to motivate students for learning. However, I believe that determining the type of incentives and level of students (grade) is very important. I have seen many teachers who often give gifts to students showing interest in learning and improving. Incentives do not include only gift or cash prize, having words of appreciation is also a kind of incentive. Some students just need a little bit more attention and encouragement to perform well. So teachers should adopt different techniques to develop intrinsic motivation among students.

In my opinion, they should stimulate good students and those who want to improve. Out-of-school activities should be organized where the wishes can be displayed and developed

Hope it helps :-)
