It is equally likely to have a boy or a girlEach child’s gender is independent of the gender of the older siblings.
With these assumptions, the probability having 4 girls is (1/2)^4=1/16
The complement of the event of having 4 girls is the event of having at least one boy, which has the probability 1–1/16=15/16.
