n(S)= 6

Event A: a number between 2 and 6

A= {3,4,5}

n(A)= 3

P(A)= 2

Event B: An odd number

B= {1,3,5}

n(B)= 3

P(B)= 2

Total cases- 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5, 6

Total no. of outcomes = 6

i) Favourable cases = 3 , 4, 5

favourable outcomes = 3

Probability of a no. lying between 2 & 6

= 3/6

= 1/2

ii) Favourable cases =1, 3,5

favourable outcomes = 3

probability of getting an odd number

= 3/6

= 1/2
