Problem 1: Water flows through a pipe of varying cross-section.
Its speed is 50 cm/s where the cross-section is 100 cm2. What will be the
speed where the cross-section is 25 cm??​

ANSWER

Volume of water flowing per second=R

=  

60 /15

​=0.25m3/sec

R=Av

A=R/v

A=0.25/3

A=  1/12m2

Area of the cross section is   1/12m2

=0.162m

=16.2cm
