f] Calculate the temperature which would be required to reduce the volume of a
gas 'X' initially at stp. to half the initial volume if the pressure is reduced
by 30%.​

let the final temperature be t2

initial volume=X. final volume=X/2

initial pressure=P. final pressure=(100-30)%P

=70P/100

initial temperature=t1. final temperature=t2

Therefore according to Gas equation

V1*P1/t1=V2*P2/t2

X*P/t1=X*70P/2*100*t2

t2*X*P*2*100/X*70P=t1

t2*2*100/70=t1

t2*2.857=t1

t2=t1/2.857

therefore final temperature should be equal to initial temperature by 2.857.
