you will need an acidic solution such as HCL or Nitric acid to completely dissolve iron into HCL.

Teflon beaker or strong materials are recommended to use for dissolving iron powder. Fe powder can dissolve in HCL, but take the time (atleast 4days or more than a week,it depends on desired concentration of iron that we would like to make)
The solution will be green
