1. Salary = ₹ 7500

Spend = ₹ 6250

Expenditure = x% of 7500 = 6250

x = 6250/7500 × 100

x = 83.34%

Savings = Salary - Spend

Savings = 7500 - 6250

Savings = 1250 = y% of 7500

y = 1250/7500 × 100

y = 16.66%

_________

2. Boys = 1500

Girls = x

Total number = x + 1500

Now, if 75% are boys, that means:-

75% of (x + 1500) = 1500

75/100 × (x + 1500) = 1500

x + 1500 = 1500×100/75

x = 2000 - 1500

x = 500

Thus, 500 girls are present.

Answer:

Monthly salary of Mr.Sharma= $ 7500

He spends every month=$ 6400

His savings=7,500−6,200=$ 1300

(i)Percent expenditure=6250/7500*100%

                        = 83.333 %

(ii)Percent savings= 1300/7500*100 %

                    = 20 %

2. 500 girls are there.

75%=1500

=>1%=1500/75

=>25%=1500*25/75

=>25%=no. of girls= 500.
