The process of human evolution explains the phenomenal development of the human species of today, known as homo sapiens.

Human evolution took place very slowly from ape to today’s human over a span of about 6 million years or much more.

This includes the features of our development was originated from our status of:

1)bipedal walking,

2)large brains,

3)hairlessness,

4)tool-making,

5)hunting and harnessing fire, to the more recent status of highly developed  language, art, culture and civilization.

The great scientist and philosopher Darwin, in his book “The Origin of Species,” published in 1859, pointed out that  that humans were originated from African apes.

Fossil in its proof of our ancestors were discovered very late in Africa in 1924. This had happened  when Raymond Dart dug up 3-million to 4 million-year-old Australopithecine called  “Tung child”.

Humans are basically an African ape. It has been reported that we share about 98% of our DNA with chimpanzees.

Genetics and fossil evidence hint that we last shared a common ancestor 7 to 10 million years ago and although we continued hybridising long after.
