PROJECT WORK TOPIC - NATURAL RESOURCES AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT Objective : Every student has to compulsorily undertake and prepare a project file with following details: 1. Assessment of each unit will be based on quality of Content accuracy, Originality and Creativity. Marks will be deducted on overall score for late submission/ incomplete work. 2. The total length of the project report should not be more than 10 written pages of foolscap size (A-4 size) sheet. 3. The project report should be handwritten and credit will be awarded to original drawings, illustrations, and creative use of eco-friendly material. 4. The project report should be presented in a neatly bound simple paper/cardboard folder(Ecofriendly) if its handwritten. 5. Minimum 1 picture for each sub-heading. All the photographs and sketches should be labeled and acknowledged. 6. The project report should be developed and presented in this order : a) Cover page showing project title, student information, school and year. b) List and content with page number. c) Acknowledgements (acknowledging the institutions, offices and libraries visited virtually and persons who have helped). d) Summary and conclusions based on findings. POINTS TO BE COVERED IN THE PROJECT A) Introduction of the topic. B) Types of Natural Resources and how do Natural Disaster affect these resources? (for eg. Land resource – Earthquake, Water resource – Flood, etc) C) Causes and consequences of disaster. D) Before and after mitigation strategies to cope the disaster. E) Any recent case study from India or any other part of the world. F) Areas prone to disaster (represent on map) G) Summary
